For more than 15 years of Dento Art’s existence, since day one we have stayed loyal to the German BEGO implant system which has through years of our experience proved its quality and top notch characteristics, which is attested to by the fact that we only had 0,02% implant rejections in 15 years, and three individual cases we had were caused by the extremely poor maintenance of oral hygiene. Apart from the BEGO system, we also offer the Straumann implant system, an equally excellent and renown brand of dental implants.
Implants are excellent prosthetics for missing teeth because they function like a natural tooth. A huge advantage of the implant is seen in the fact that the neighbouring healthy teeth don’t require any grinding to replace the missing tooth, and since the implant is fixed into the bone, the bone becomes stimulated and we don’t encounter the bone “melting” as would be the case, after a few years, with the empty space where the natural tooth was.
Dental implant procedures
The implant procedure is carried out in several phases, but with patience and a detailed process you get a lifetime prosthetic which will forever solve both the aesthetic and functional shortcomings.
PHASE I
In the first phase, a 3D scan needs to me made so that we can see the thickness and width of the bone, which is exceptionally important for us to know whether the conditions for the implant are met. If the conditions for the implant aren’t met, but the conditions for an artificial bone exist, we will suggest the addition of an artificial bone so that we can replace the missing bone and create room for the implant.
PHASE I
In the second phase, we discuss the entire procedure with you, we talk about prosthetics, the position of the implant, and we create a plan of the estimated duration of the treatment. After reaching an agreement, we start the implantation phase which is completely painless and takes about thirty minutes per implant.
PHASE I
After completing the second phase, the surgeon assesses the optimal period for the implants to heal, which is usually 4 to 6 months. After this, we start the third phase, which is when you come to have a gingiva former put in, a prosthetic that forms the exit profile, which is the base upon which a crown will be placed in the next twenty or so days. After that, we are only left with the final cementing procedure which will solve your problems for life!
If you don’t have any natural teeth, or your remaining teeth are worn down and bad, the prosthetic you need is the ALL on 4 or ALL on 6 concept. In both cases, four or six implants carry the complete prosthetic construction, and you get to choose the type of material for your procedure just like in the case of classic crown procedures. Ideally, a perfect and life-long solution!
Regular visits to the dentist are the best way of prevention.
